How to read this
- Official values are hourly raw (not yet validated) data from the state and city networks on the Croatian air quality portal, and up-to-date (E2a, not yet verified) data from the European Environment Agency (EEA, CC BY 4.0). Where both publish the same station, leads use the EEA instrument; two official publications are never compared with each other.
- Citizen sensors (Sensor.Community) are low-cost optical devices without calibration; their locations are rounded to about 100 m because many are at homes.
- Impossible values, flat lines and sudden spikes are checked before display; flagged readings are kept but excluded from comparisons.
- A lead opens only when the difference exceeds max(10 µg/m³, 50% of the official value) for at least 3 consecutive hours for a sensor within 1500 m of a station. The margin is wide because low-cost sensors often over-read in high humidity (general knowledge from the literature, not a calibration of these devices).
- A lead is not a finding or a verdict: the difference may come from siting, humidity, a fault or calibration of either device.
