Suggest a new view

The community can propose a new layer or topic over data already published here. A maintainer reviews each proposal before it appears. There are no accounts and nothing is published automatically.

What you can propose

  • A new way to read published data: a map layer or a topic with its own selection and legend.
  • A title, a limitations text and an explanation of what is shown.
  • Not: new data, new sources, personal data or code.

How to propose

  1. Draft it in the assistant (it also checks the draft), or write a short description of what you want to show.
  2. Send the draft by e-mail, or attach it to an issue in the repository.
  3. A maintainer reviews it and, if it passes, publishes it with a “Community” label and the review date.

The submission address will be published before public launch.

Open the drafting assistant → The assistant links back to this page when you are done.

Technical details are in “For developers” at the bottom of this page.

What reviewers check

  • The draft passes the same validators as maintained packs.
  • Sources and disclosure text are accurate and complete.
  • Nothing incomparable is summed or compared.
  • Privacy: no people beyond the project rules.

How it appears

An accepted pack carries a “Community” label, the publisher name, the reviewer and the review date from the review ledger, never from the file itself. Any change to the file after review unlists it until it is reviewed again. Withdrawn packs are not shown.

Accepted community proposals

No community proposals have been accepted yet.

For developers

The technical format, check and submission route. Not needed to send an idea.

  • One JSON file: layer-pack/1 for a layer or topic-pack/1 for a topic; only already registered queries and views may be used.
  • Check from the repository root: bun scripts/pack-check.ts your-pack.json must print "ok": true and a digest.
  • Submit: a merge request or an issue attachment in the repository.

Where the guide and example are

This site does not serve these files. They are in the project’s public repository, at these paths:

  • docs/community-packs.md — the full guide: format, check, submission and review
  • docs/examples/community-pack.example.json — an example pack to start from

The public repository address will be published before public launch. Until then, draft in the assistant and download the draft as JSON.
