Corrections, objections and right of reply

If something on this site is wrong, incomplete or about you, tell us. We correct errors openly, and we do not silently delete disputed records.

Draft before public launch. There is no form: this site does not collect data. This is not legal advice.

What you can ask for

Anyone can ask for a correction. A person or company the record is about can also ask for:

  • correction: the value is wrong, or we did not reproduce it exactly as the public body published it;
  • objection (GDPR Art. 21): you consider that, because of your particular situation, the record should not be published;
  • reply: you want a short statement of yours published next to the record or case;
  • access or erasure: see the privacy page.

How to send a request

Send an e-mail to ispravci@javni-trag.example or a letter to the operator’s registered seat (see above). There is no form and no account.

What to include

To let us check quickly, include:

  • the link to the page and the record’s name, amount and date;
  • what is wrong and what it should say;
  • evidence or a link to the source, if you have it;
  • for an objection: why your situation justifies stopping publication;
  • for a reply: the text of your statement (short, about the facts in the record);
  • how to answer you. Do not send your OIB, an ID copy or any other data we do not need.

What happens next

We acknowledge receipt and compare the record with the public body’s original publication. If the error is ours, we correct it and note the correction next to the record with a date. If the record was reproduced correctly but you say the source is wrong, we mark the record as disputed and inform the source. We always give reasons for our answer to an objection or reply request.

We also tell the source

When the error is in the original publication, we tell the public body that published it exactly where the error is (document, row or field) so it can correct the source too. A correction only on our site does not change the official record.

Deadline

We answer without undue delay and within 30 days of receipt at the latest (mirroring GDPR Art. 12(3): one month). Complex cases may take longer; if so, we tell you why within the first 30 days. If the Croatian Media Act applies to the site, we also follow its correction deadlines.

Disputed records stay visible with a note

While we check, the record carries a visible “disputed / under review” note with a date. We do not delete it silently. When the check ends, the note is replaced by a correction, the published reply, or the reason the record stayed unchanged.

Public withdrawal log

When we withdraw a record (objection upheld, source removed, error), we list it in a public withdrawal log: only a safe identifier, the date and a short reason, never the removed content. Withdrawal blocks direct, historical and pinned links and downloads.

Limits

We cannot change official sources or recall copies others have already downloaded. An indictment stays labelled as an indictment, not guilt; an acquittal stays visible. Our decision does not affect your right to complain to AZOP or to go to court.
